It's Christmas Time! (right in the middle of football season lol)

I'm a huge Broncos fan, if you didn't notice LOL. I'm also very new at this whole blog thing. Anyways, I was playing around and figured I'd do something Christmasy with all these NFL logos I have. So I did. You're welcome to snag them if you'd like, but by all means don't use them for profit of any kind, the NFL doesn't look kindly upon that. Of course they don't look kindly upon what I did either LOL I don't care. Clicking the image will take you to the 4shared. =) Please don't claim them as your own. I'd love to see what you make with them. I personally made a swinger. =)
Enjoy!

So it's the big day, right? Everyone goes out and votes for the lessor of two evils. I didn't vote today nor at anytime in the past 14 yrs I've been of age to do so. Normally I don't vote because there's no one worth voting for. This time I didn't vote because I missed the deadline to register. This is considered a monumental election because you're voting for a mixed male President or a female Vice President. Either way is the country ready? While it's important to vote for the President because he is our figure head. He's the one that presents this country to the world. He's the one that can push the button. My parents have drilled into my head this year that he's not God. So many people think that he is God. Can you imagine if our country's future relied upon just one person? Can you imagine if that one person was G.W. Bush? How about G. Washington? A. Lincoln? Isn't it a grand thing that they can veto? Isn't it a better thing that Congress and the House can veto? All the polls say Obama has it in the bag. Would that be wise? Then again is it wise to have McCain? No matter your opinion, and you are entitled to yours as much as I am entitled to mine, you must rememeber, you are only voting for the pretty face that represents this country. Just because Obama might propose trillions in spending or McCain might propose taxing your health care, do you think it will happen? Do you believe in your common sense that the Senate and House will allow this? While the President is important for outward appearances, the Senators and Representatives are the heart of our government. Thank God our founding fathers had the foresight to develop the system this way. Remember to vote for your Senators and Representatives. Remember to do your research on them. Remember that they hold your life in their hands. Write them, get involved with them, tell them what you want. Make your voice heard to them. And for God's sake don't vote for the moron whose taking thousands or millions in donations, pay offs or other benefits from a company or industry. You want them to look out for you, not for the companies that employ you. Lack of research and lack of common sense has taken away from the government. Research, research, research!

I had this realization last night that Christmas is only 2 months away. I have decided, finally, what to do for my girls. My girls being the other 6 teachers that I teach with. Last year I made them all calendars and post-it holders. This may not seem like much, but I did it all from scratch in PSP. Took me what seemed like forever to do the calendars. LOL
So this year I have decided they are getting a "goodie recipe" box. In each box will have a calander to hang on the fridge in the theme of their kitchen. A mini notebook designed in their style. A couple of gel pens in their favorite color. I'm buying pocket calanders this year lol. Recipe cards and some with actual recipe's on them even! There will be post-its and maybe I'll even get computer journals for them all. There will be more, as I think of it. I have a list somewhere LOL. I can't wait to get just one thing finished. The boxes themselves will be the recipe boxes, they will be in the theme of their kitchens.
I have to thank my mom for this idea, she's done something similar for the craft fairs this year. You can see what she's got at www.kathys-korner.net. Tell her I sent ya!
I don't have anything to show off this time. I haven't really done anything I've been so busy with getting stuff done and ready for the fairs. I hope to have something to show off next week.
Until then, laters!

It's Football Season!
at
1:57 PM
YAY! It's football season! Nothing better then ploppin' down on the couch with a beer and potato skins and watching 3+ hours of my favorite team whipping some other teams ass!
In honor of football season. I've created tons of wallpapers, MySpace layouts and signatures in various teams for various people. My personal favorite is the Myspace layout I did for my friend Lee. It's all Broncos and it's wonderful if I do say so myself. I've done wallpapers in Broncos for her and I. Lovin' them all!
In the grand scheme of things football season brought my creativity out, at least more than it was. So with that being said let me show you some of the stuff I've done. You're welcome to snag or request if you'd like. Of course I'm only showing off the Broncos stuff LOL. Go Broncos!
